Course description

The new supervision and appraisal model for ESCC (Maximising Performance) has an emphasis on managers and their staff having continuous, high quality, coaching conversations to support everyone to increase their performance.

It is essential that you complete the "Maximising Performance" elearning module & pre-course work prior to attending this workshop.

This workshop looks at the skills needed by managers to get the most from these discussions, including how to tackle poor performance and how to further motivate high performers.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course delegates will:

  • know the new approach to line manager supervision and appraisal how these can be used to raise performance

  • understand the principles of coaching for high performance

  • use proven models for setting objectives and giving feedback

  • identify an action plan for what steps they need to take in order to fully embed the new process

Please note this training is for ESCC non-Orbis managers

Please note: Parking around St. Mary's House is very limited, though the railway station car park is some 6 minutes walk at a charge of (about) £5 per day.
