This three and a half-hour online session is aimed at women going through, approaching, and out the other side of, the menopausal transition and offers information and tips to understand the process and emerge stronger.


This is a remotely delivered session. Please note the information under Additional Information (which you'll find in Full Details) regarding joining this course    

Training objectives

First hour:


Menopause questionnaire:



  • Potential experiences and impact of the transition

  • Katie’s story

  • Sharing experiences and how to thrive


What is the menopause:



  • Explanation of female hormones, what they do and the impact at menopause

  • The life cycle of female hormones explained

  • Misdiagnosis: what can happen and why

  • Difference between medical and natural menopause explained


10 – 15 minute break


Second hour



  • HRT in detail

  • Routes of delivery explained with preferred option(s) discussed

  • The different types of hormones within HRT and who needs which ones

  • HRT and breast cancer: Let’s look at the facts

  • The latest research and information shared

Third hour


Non-medical support options


Nutrition:



  • What constitutes the ‘right’ eating plan for women?

  • What should we, ideally, avoid and why


Supplements:



  • Which ones are worth considering

  • Which ones might be a waste of money

  • Which ones are fairly essential


Physical and emotional wellbeing:



  • How to look after our bodies through, and beyond, the transition

  • How to maintain our emotional wellbeing and keep our equilibrium


Alternative therapies


Why, and how, this can be one of the most potent times of a woman’s life!

The training is expected to be delivered through Skype
