Course description

The main focus of this training is on providing participants with the skills to enable them to address workplace conflict and performance issues proactively.


Training objectives

The target audience will be managers, supervisors and team leaders, both those new to managing people effectively and experienced managers.


Learning outcomes

This course aims to help managers to address workplace conflict and performance issues proactively against a backdrop of increasingly complex employment legislation. The course will show you the skills to:

  • recognise conflict and why it occurs

  • provide strategies to resolve different types of conflict in a timely manner

  • get increased confidence to deal with and confront individuals

  • deal with the emotional nature of conflict and the barriers that this might present

  • identify ways to prevent conflict escalating

  • awareness of mediation techniques
