This focussed programme aims to develop manager’s knowledge, skills and confidence to enable them to fully integrate a coaching approach into the daily management of staff and projects in order to operate effectively, promote a culture of empowerment and engagement and to support creativity in a challenging business environment.
A coaching approach is increasingly well evidenced across the business community and public sector as an appropriate and successful leadership style, creating a ‘win-win’ effect, where staff are motivated and engaged, and work can be successfully devolved, freeing up valuable management time and resources.

Have you learnt coaching skills through our one day Coaching Skills (previously An Introduction to Coaching) or the two day Coaching for Managers course? Would you like to improve your skills and gain more practice?
If so the ILM Level 3 Award in Coaching could be for you. This course is designed to give you an in depth knowledge of coaching skills and of the tools you can use in your coaching practice. You will also be required to complete 12 hours of supervised coaching to practically apply the tools and skills. Completion of this course will qualify you to become a member of the workplace coaching pool and we will be able to refer potential "coachees" from across the organisation to you.
Typically it can take between six months and one year to complete the course.
By attending our 2-day Coaching for Managers programme, managers will have covered some of the knowledge element of the Level 3 coaching programme and a considerable amount of the skills element.
Therefore all managers who have completed the 2-day programme or the 1 day Coaching Skills are invited to fast track through the ILM Level 3 Award in Coaching.
As part of this course you will be required to find a "coachee" to practice your skills with. Before starting please identify someone that you can either work with yourself, or that you can swap with another person in the group.
